Hi, I'm Helena founder of Silk & Waves. For as long as I can remember I have struggled with weak and dry hair very prone to breakage. After years of chemical damage with relaxers I decided to go natural, it was during this transition when things took a turn for the worse!

My hair started breaking very drastically and on one side of my head much worse than the other (the side I slept on). As I pondered the cause and started trying every product out there, it all became clear. The breakage and split ends were the result of my pillow case sucking all the moisture out of my hair alongside the friction of it rubbing against my bed linens.

My hairdresser had always recommended wrapping my hair at night but never really recommended a specific wrap to purchase online or in a store. As I tried a variety of scarfs, wraps and bonnets, spending hundreds of pounds on solutions only to find everything just fell off in the night.
